My New Coolpix 995

This week I got a Nikon Coolpix 995 from my friend Kyle. Yes, I have a Nikon Coolpix 5000 already, so why would I need an older Coolpix? The answer is time lapse photography. I haven't posted much about my adventures in time lapse, but look for more on that subject in the future. In the past I have controlled the camera through my Palm Pilot using a program called CoolRemote, but now that I have an extra digital camera that I can dedicate to a project, I am thinking about setting up a several month long time lapse powered by a PC running The Force. It should be fun, and I will keep you posted. Thanks, Kyle for the Coolpix 995!

I did a project "On Holiday" a few years back were a gallery window was set up with chronometers labeled for different types of leisure activities. We remote controlled these with a telephone system and Max/MSP as we went about a vacation in New York (the chronometers were in a gallery in Oakland, Calif.).
I love the displaced documentation idea and I hope you really spent some more time figuring out ways to explore this.

Hmm. You know I've been looking for a decent digital camera but not expensive, that will take Time Lapse photos? Do you know of others that will, or of any other programs that will work with a Olympus C765UZ?

The Digisnap says it works with some Olympus cameras. The Digisnap is a great product sold by Harbortronics. There site says, "The DigiSnap 2000 line is compatible with a wide range of
digital cameras, especially the Nikon Coolpix and Olympus camera lines."
